Figured it was time to tell youse guys what I'm up to on the homeward voyage, so here it is:
May 1 (possibly earlier): leave Vancouver, go down to Seattle.
May 2: Seattle -> Chicago to meet my dad.
May 3-6: Hang around in Chicago w/Dad, then he flies on on the 5th, and I hang around a bit more.
May 7: Fly to Toronto.
May 8-9: Hang with Janet, who I met on tour of Spain, in Toronto.
May 10: Cait arrives in Toronto and I move to the hostel with her.
May 11-14: Do Toronto stuff, visit Niagara etc.
May 15: Toronto -> Ottawa.
May 16: Ottawa -> Montreal.
May 17-22: Montreal + Quebec City.
May 23: Montreal -> Boston.
May 24-25: Boston + Salem.
May 26: Boston -> Vancouver via Toronto (bye Cait! ;_; who is going to Cuba from Toronto, as you do).
May 27-28: Vancouver again. Picking up some stuff, final look at the fair city.
May 29: Vancouver -> LA (Anaheim)
May 30-31: DISNEYLAND with friend Jen.

June 2nd: Sydney -> HOME.
This is what I am doing and when:
The Europe Half, or, I Have a Best Friend Who Organises These Things For Me!
Fly out, 23rd of November. Stopovers in Singapore and London, fly into Madrid.
Sleep and reset body clock in Madrid for a few nights, then the tour of Spain begins on the 27th, in Madrid. Thour through Cordoba, Seville, Costa del Sol, Granada and Valencia. Wind up in Barcelona on the 8th of December.
Stay night in Barcelona then...
After the 9th, make way up (by train?) to France. Maybe via Nice? Probably stay in Tours for a few nights because that is Chateau country and also only an hour from Paris. Hit Chateau country in big way. Do general France stuff until around the 19th. Maybe spend last night in Calais (just so I have an excuse to say "Calais" and type "Calais" a lot because it is fun... Calais Calais Calais).
The 19th of December (or thereabouts), head across to London. Again, probably stay just outside it. Do Londony/Englandy things until the 22nd.
The America Half, or, I Had to Organise this, So it Has the Approximate Pace of a Gerbil on Crack and my Travel Agent Thinks I'm Crazy for Attempting it.
Split up from Elise who is going to Germany, then fly out of London at around 3pm on the 22nd of December. Arrive New York around 5pm. Aren't timezones neat?
Meet Family in New York, hang around there, see sights, shop shops, go see Phantom of the Opera on Broadway (I really wanted to see Wicked, but Phantom is super good too!), Christmas Christmas, etc. Catch up with my homekids, as this is the point when my laptop and I will be reinuted, and most of the places I'm staying from now on will hopefully have WiFi.
26th of December, farewell my loving family and fly up to Montreal. See sights etc etc and hopefully make it to Ottawa, the home of Canadian Democracy (I almost typed Democrazy HAH).
Fly out of Montreal on the evening of the 28th. Stopover in Chicago, then on to Denver, Colorado. Spend five nights with my lovely Li in Colorado, including New Year's. Get some sleep because...
Very, very early on the 2nd, fly across from Denver to Los Angeles. Dump stuff at hotel, and HIT DISNEYLAND UNTIL LATE INTO THE EVENING.
Around 10am on the 3rd, hop on a train to San Jose. Hop off it in SJ around 8pm. Spend night in SJ.
On the 4th, head to San Francisco (thanks mum)for day of wild shopping and eating at cafes. Hop back on train on the night of the 4th in San Francisco.
Night of the 5th, train arrives in Seattle. The train trip up the coast is, all told, about 38 hours (LA - Vancouver iirc), but I really want to do some of my travelling on the ground, and it has a lounge car and a dining car which, AWESOME. Anywho, spend nights of 5th and 6th in Seattle with family friends, see sights, travel aorund a bit and nostalgically stand outside old Seattle house and old Seattle school and old Seattle local shopping mall and muse on bygone days.
Midmorning of the 7th, head up to Vancouver by bus. Arrive in time to check in at dorms (for those who don't know, I am staying in residence, like, dorms. Either I will come back a people person, or "MAD AUSTRALIAN KILLS TEN CANADIAN COLLEGE STUDENTS IN BIZARRE HOMICIDAL RAMPAGE" will be splashed across newspapers all over the world) and then maybe sleep for like, a week. Vancouver is for sleeping.
I'm a young, strong gel. This trip is so not going to kill me. There is plenty of time for sleeping. And eating.
